Pazha Pradhaman.
We make payasam with ripe banana(Nentrapazham).It is the one of pradhaman dish in Kerala.
Onam sadya is not complete without delicious pradhaman with ada, chakkavaratti or pazham.
Ingredients
Nentrapazham varatti
- Nentrapazham..............6
- Jaggery......................2cups
- Ghee.........................3tbsp
Method
- Remove the skin of the pazham ,cut into pieces.
- Cook the pieces in cooker with out adding water.
- Grind in blender into fine paste.
- Heat a pan with little water add jaggery.
- When it mixes add the paste and mix well.
- Add little ghee and make like thick jam(Chakkavaratti)
Pradhaman
- Pazham Varatti........................1cup
- Jaggery...................................1cup
- Coconut Milk (1st one)...........1cup
- Dry Ginger Powder................1tsp
- Coconut Milk (2nd one).........2cups
- Coconut Pieces.....................3tbsp
- Ghee to fry coconut.
Method
- Mix the pazham varatti and 2nd milk and boil this mixture.
- Add jaggery and let it boil.When all are mixed well, add the 1st milk.
- Then it should not boil. Fry the coconut pieces and add to the pradhaman
- Sprinkle dry ginger powder.
- It is very tasty payasam.
