I tried this appam with sugar and it is very tasty. You can try this dish.

Ingredients
- Raw Rice.......................1cup
- Sugar..............................1 and 1/2 cup
- Grated Coconut..............\.1/2 cup
- Cardamom Powder........1/2tsp
- Oil to fry

Method
- Soak the rice for about 2 hours and grind with coconut into a very fine paste.
- Add sugar and cardamom and grind one round.
- Heat appam vessel with oil and pour the batter into the kuzhi. (Use non stick appakkarai)
- When one side is cooked turn to other side.
- Remove the appams in to a paper towel.
- It tastes very good.
