We prepare this sweet for shradham day. It is made up of moong dal/chana dal with jaggery.
Ingredients
- Moong dal …………………………..1 cup
- Jaggery……………………………....3/4 cup
- Raw rice ……………………...........1cup
- Urad dal……………………............1/4 cup
- Cardamom powder………………1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil to fry.
- Boil the moong dal in cooker with little water.and cool it, grind it into paste.
- Add jaggery and heat it till it becomes thick. Make small balls and keep
- Soak the rice and dhal for 2 hours and grind(like idli dough) into fine paste adding salt like.
- Heat a pan with oil. Dip the moong balls into the batter and drop one by one in the hot oil.
- When it becomes red both sides remove and keep in a paper towel.It is very tasty.
