This sweet adai is like elai adai with jackfruit, coconut poornam etc. This adai is made up of semiya. Very tasty and easy to make.
Ingredients
- Semiya........................1cup
- Sugar..........................3/4 cup
- Milk.............................3cup
- Cardamom Powder......1/2tsp
- Grated Coconut............1cup
- Ghee.............................3tsp
Method
- Heat pan with ghee add semiya and fry a little.
- Add milk and let it boil.
- When the semiya is cooked well, remove from the flame and let it cool.
- Add the sugar , cardamom powder and coconut.
- Mix well, add the ghee and make big balls and keep.
- Take banana leaf and make it soft by placing over the flame for few seconds, so that you could fold it.
- Place the ball sized dough in the leaf and fold it into half.
- Heat a non stick tawa place the adais on it.
- When one side is cooked turn the other side.
- Serve with ghee.
- Banana leaves are available at Asian stores in USA.
