Microwavable Badam/ Almond/Walnut/Cashew nuts Burfi
I tried  this recipe in microwave and came out very well. It is very easy and takes less time to make.There is no ghee and healthy too..Very  tasty sweet.
  Ingredients
  • Badam.................1/2cup
  • Almond................1/2cup
  • Walnuts................1/2 cup
  • Cashew Nut...........1/2 cup
  • Sugar...................2cups
  • Cardamom...........1/2tsp
  • Milk......................2tbsp

Method

  • Powder all the ingredients in food processor.
  • Remove in microwavable bowl, add milk and sugar. 
  • Mix well, keep for 2 minutes. Remove ,add cardamom powder and mix nicely .
  • Again  keep it in microwave two more minutes .
  • When it becomes thick spread in greased plate and let it cool 
  • Cut into pieces.

Date and Peanut Ladu

Date and Peanut Ladu.Very tasty Indian mithai
Ingredients
  • Dates…………………….. 1cup
  • Peanuts……………………1cup
  • Sesame Seeds……………..1cup
  • Jaggery……………………½ cup
  • Dry Ginger Powder…………1tsp
  • Ghee……………………….2tbsp
  • Dry Coconut Powder……….½ cup



Method
  • Powder the peanuts.Chop the dates and fry them in ghee till it becomes soft..
  • Add jaggery into the mixture and stir continuously.
  • Add the peanut powder and sesame seeds. Mix well.
  • When it becomes thick remove it in a plate to cool down.
  •  Apply ghee on your hands make small ladus.
  • Roll them in dry coconut powder.

Wheat Rava Halwa (Godhumbu Rava Halwa)

Wheat Rava Halwa ( Dalia or Cracked wheat)

Ingredients
  • Wheat Rava..............................1cup
  • Sugar........................................1cup
  • Ghee......................................2tbsp
  • Cashew Nuts...........................1tbsp
  • Raisins......................................1tbsp
  • Cardamom Powder..................1/2 tsp
  • Water......................................3cups
Method
  • Fry the rava with little ghee till it becomes  golden. 
  • Boil the water and when it boils, add the rava and cook.
  • When the rava completely cooked and the water also absorbed add the sugar and ghee. 
  • Stir continuously till it becomes thick. add , cardamom,roasted cashews and raisins

Sabudana Kheer (ஜவ்வரிசி பாயசம்)(Tapioca pudding)

 This is very easy to prepare this dish.
Ingredients

  • Sabudana……………………1/2cup
  • Milk………………………..3cups
  • Sugar………………………¼ cup
  • Cardamom Powder…………1/2tsp
  • Saffron………………………1/2tsp
  • Cashew nuts…………………..6

Method 


  • Wash and soak the sabudana for 2 hours in water..
  • Boil the milk in heavy bottom pan for about 10 minutes.
  • Stir it very often. So that the milk does not stick to the bottom
  • Add the soaked sabudana and cook till the sabudana becomes soft.
  • Add cardamom, saffron and roasted cashew nuts. When it cools down it becomes thick.

Ingredients

  • Grated White Pumpkin.........1cup
  • Sugar..................................3/4 cup
  • Cashew Nuts.........................10
  • Cardamom Powder...........1/4 tsp
  • Milk...................................2cups
  • Ghee.................................2tbsp
Method

  • Grate the pumpkin and remove the excess moisture using a towel.. 
  • Add milk, sugar and cook it till it becomes thick
  • Then add ghee and cook till it separates from sides. 
  • Fry cashew nuts and add.Sprinkle the cardamom powder.
  • Spread the mixture in a greased plate.
  • When it cools down cut into squares or diamonds shape.

This sweet dish is made as naivedyam and also on festival days. There are so many varieties of payasams,We can make payasam with milk or jaggery. Pal means milk. This payasam is made with milk

Ingredients

  • Rice...........................1/2cup
  • Milk...........................2litres
  • Cashew-Nuts...............few
  • Cardamom Powder.....1/2 tsp
  • Sugar..........................2cups.
Method
  • Cook the rice. milk and sugar in pressure cooker. 
  • After 4/5 whistles slow the flame for 5 more minutes.
  • When it cools down remove in serving bowl and add fried cashews and cardamom powder.
  • In the cooker the rice in milk so the color changes .
  • It is easy to make in cooker.
